Transformation Story:
This single business professional and sports enthusiast of a home owner with a new build home has a larger home with two separate garages to satisfy his passion for cars. His first garage boasted a red and black garage design with Iconic garage cabinets, Swisstrax Ribtrax garage tiles and acid washed aluminum sidewalls in matching colours.
This second garage has a different design from the first. The colour scheme for this garage design is blue, white and black with black and chrome accents. Instead of Porsche and Jaguar logos on the walls, it was finished with Toronto sports team logos such as the Leafs, Raptors and the Jays.
This garage has rear and front doors and it would be suitable to a heavy traffic of cars being pulled in and out of the parking spaces. Again, a floor with the durability to handle multiple cars and a degree of sunlight that would fall into the garage would be some of the requirements. In this second garage, a polyaspartic floor coating which would last a lifetime had a blue base with blue, black and white sparkles mixed into the floor colour. The border is a solid black mirroring the first garage’s red and black floor design.
In addition, a single post car lift was installed so an additional vehicle could be parked inside this garage. Using punched aluminum for the sidewalls added a sharp chrome accent to the look and feel of the garage while protecting the drywall from nicks and dings.
The same classy Iconic garage cabinets were used in this second garage as well for closed storage and clean lines throughout the garage including an undermount sink.. Grey slatwall above the bottom cabinets were outfitted with shelves to store shoes in the garage. A made-to-measure lower garage cabinet was set low enough to be a bench so people could sit down to wear or remove their shoes in the garage. This polyaspartic garage floor coating choice makes it possible to have heated floors so it would be comfortable for people to walk around in socks from the garage to the house and back.
